Al Soré (Alona Sokurenko, b. 1992, Kremenchuk, Ukraine) is an artist and designer based in Amsterdam. Al's practice is driven by the inner anxieties of living and existing, and consequently, the right to be. The process is intuitive, often embracing randomness to create unexpected results.

Nature elements and landscapes are the main subject matter of her paintings. The works often merge various mediums, creating semi-abstract, dream-like compositions that invite viewers to contemplate and wander in the ephemeral and the ethereal.

I see reflections and they are never still by Al Soré: nine oil paintings on canvas of different sizes, hung in a loose grid on a concrete wall. Each is painted in black, grey and white, with rippling marks like light and shadow on moving water.
